Izzana’s biggest passion and mission in life is to help develop an ecosystem which is gender-inclusive to propel women and girls into positions of leadership through policy making, advocacy, education and mentoring programs. 

She’s a Co-Founder to Project Girls For Girls, which is a US registered NGO and has grown in 9 countries worldwide: USA, Malaysia, Iceland, China, Mexico, India, Uzbekistan, Oman and Uganda. They are focused on developing girls into positions of leadership worldwide with the goal to close the gender gap in public leadership. 

She also co-founded and runs a Malaysian-based NGO now known as Lets Interact, which focuses on youth empowerment thru english literacy and employability which works on closing the economic gap within urban poor communities. 

She is a public sector transformation and business turnaround consultant with a management consultancy firm based in Malaysia, where she focuses on the public-private intersection in great depth and detail. Her decade long career has also spanned across corporate and investment banking, entrepreneurship and genetic engineering research sectors. 

Izzana has a B.Sc in Biotechnology from Cal State Pomona California, a Master of Business Administration from Imperial College Business School and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University at the Kennedy School of Government.
